I’ve lost over 70lb since starting CrossFit. I hit new PR’s weekly thanks to Drew and his coaching. My most recent PR was a 425lbs Deadlift. I’ve also got my wife on board with me now and she looks and feels amazing too! So glad we can do this as a together as a team
I had never played organized sports and wasn’t excited about trying CrossFit when my best friend Vanessa drug me to a Saturday WOD in August of 2012. Fast forward 19 months later and I now CrossFit 5x per week. I love it!! and my CrossFit family here at CrossFit ISO. I also participated in the Opens this year and now have my CrossFit Level 1 Certification. I have experimented with different diets, but I find that a low fat diet works best for me. I recommend getting enough sleep, have a balanced diet & to follow Drew’s programming and you CAN’T go wrong.
CrossFit has a been a life changing experience for me, I was over weight, tired and just down right fat…it was a gift from God when drew and I found each other through an ad 2 years ago, through Drew’s dedication to me and wanting the best for me through training and diet(paleo, some months strict but most of the time 80/20) I am down 30lb, much stronger and feel great! I continue to have PR’s on many lifts and feel better about my form all the time. I am very thankful for Drew and how he has helped change my life. I truly feel that I am in the best shape of my life…oh yeah…LUNCHCREW!!!
I joined the CFI family a few shorts months ago & have dropped 25lb and just recently got muscle ups!! Can’t wait to see what’s ahead for me on my CrossFit journey!
After years of eating whatever I wanted and not exercising, I had reached a max weight of 240lbs. I had my yearly check-up and my Dr. told me, “What are you doing to yourself? You are too young to be on prescription medications for high cholesterol.” She challenged me to lose weight and from that day forward my lifestyle changed. I started exercising and eating healthier. It wasn’t easy at first but then it became a norm. I was a gym rat for the first year and a half and that become boring really quickly. Then a good friend of mine convinced me to try crossfit. It’s been a game changer ever since.”
I’ve been waiting to sneak this in! My wife and baby’s mother CrossFitted through her entire pregnancy, leaving the box a week overdue in labor. She has lost 50lbs in 5.5 months, BUT not without a lot of hard work. She CrossFits 5x a week and Once she was no longer our sons food source she started counting calories. That combo has been her recipe for success! As her husband and trainer I couldn’t be more proud of the dedication she puts into being a balanced women of Christ, her family and CrossFit.
In October 2013, I decided to change my life. I started my journey weighing 244 lbs and more than 45% body fat. I decided to start working out and be conscious of what I was eating. At the same time my husband started at CFI. I thought he was crazy, but he absolutely loved it! I was so intimidated by what I had heard about Crossfit, but my husband begged me to try it and after months of trying he finally got me to go. I did a couple classes a month for a few months, fell in love with the programs and signed up in July 2014. Since starting, I have lost 35 lbs and 10% body fat in 10 months! I track what I eat everyday (I count macro nutrients), work out 5x a week and now down 70 lbs since the beginning of my journey! CFI is not only a place to work out….it truly is like a family! I have met some of my best friends through this box! It’s amazing to work out with people that cheer you on when you’re struggling and celebrate when you hit a PR! I have been over weight my entire life, but for the rest of my life I will be fit and healthy thanks to Drew Denny and this amazing community of athletes at CrossFit Isorropia!! -Lauren
